BepiColombo, a Mercury Mission by Europe and Japan, Will Launch in October

The next mission to Mercury has a scheduled start date. Liftoff of Europe's and Japan's BepiColombo mission is scheduled for Oct. 19 at 0145 GMT (Oct. 18 at 9:45 p.m. EDT), the European Space Agency stated.
